An American taught the world to record your favourite music on a wooden plate

The inventor and programmer Amanda Gossai with a laser has made the world's first wooden plate. Now with these CDs you can listen to the songs of musical group Joy Divisiоn, Rаdiohead and Vеlvet Undеrground. Kassai posted a technical manual, which will provide an opportunity for everyone to make such records at home. They can be written anything.

First, Gasai wanted to use for the printing of such plates 3D printers. But the main idea of the project is to allow people who have no new devices to make plates for themselves. The inventor proposed to make sound media manually using torch – on acrylic, paper, wood and other materials.

The grooves on a wooden plate go two times wider than the vinyl, so one side can fit about three minutes of recording, and the sound comes out more distorted, but it is similar to stylish PoE. Author development reports that those who do not have a laser cutter, you can use a paper cutter or a milling machine.
