How to survive a snakebite?

Every year from snake bites kill an estimated 125 thousand people. Many people die before they reach a hospital.
According to an article in the scientific journal, Clinical Case Reports, this situation will be able to fix a new nasal spray, which was developed by the specialists of the Academy of Sciences of California and the University of California.
"We want to change people's attitude to this ancient danger, which has remained in the modern world by developing an inexpensive, heat resistant and easy to use tool. Our drug, at least can give people the opportunity to buy time to get to the hospital," – said in a press release Dr. Matt Lewin of the California Academy of Sciences.

Antivenom (antibodies against snake venom antigens) and other drugs are used to treat snake bites, it is unrealistic to keep on hand when You are in the woods. New nasal spray contains the same anticholinesterase drugs, which are hundreds of years used against snake venom, and which are usually administered intravenously.
Scientists have already tested their invention on volunteers, and in June, a doctor from India used the spray to treat the facial paralysis patient, he was bitten by the Indian krait. Half an hour after application of the spray paralysis had disappeared, and two weeks later the patient returned to his normal life.
Now the team Levin continues to enhance its nasal spray, testing new drug combinations in mice.
