Ten grams of this material, which is a type of absorbent polymer, can absorb one liter of water. It can be mixed with soil to retain water and gradually feed the needy plants.





Testing of Solid rain, which had held in Mexico had proved that adding it to soil can increase yield by up to 300 percent. The polymer can be in the soil for 8-10 years depending on water quality – if you use pure water, its validity will last much longer. The material is all natural (it includes a bio-acrylamide) and does not harm the soil, even if it is in her for many years. After the collapse it turns into a harmless powder and becomes part of plants. Developer of Solid rain advised to add it at the rate of 50 kg per hectare although it is not cheap – this volume of the absorbent will cost 1.500 dollars.
But despite the fact that science is not up to the end convinced of the benefits of this product, its creators and manufacturers claim that waiting lists and his company are crowded with orders from the arid regions of the world, including Australia and India. And what's more, it even has orders from Britain, where the lack of water is not usually a problem.
