Giant man-made locks-the maze of ice

These locks are in the States of Colorado, Utah and new Hampshire are fascinating for its caves, arches, walkways and tunnels, as if inviting visitors to enjoy the tale. In the evenings, to enhance the feeling of unreality, the ice structure is illuminated by colored lights that will not leave indifferent neither child nor adult.










The uniqueness of these mazes is that the building material for them — are the real icicles. Each castle starts with 5,000 icicles that builders can "grow" at once.



After that, pour water, adding others. So, the locks will melt more gradually occupying a large area. And the construction can continue throughout the winter, provided the desired temperature.
