Scientists have built a generator, producing electricity from change in humidity
Everyone knows that wind and solar — high potential for use as a renewable and clean source of energy, and wave energy are increasingly used for the production of electricity. But not long ago, Dr. Ozgur Sahin from the Institute Vissa showed the world a prototype of a new electric generator which will react to changes in humidity and can give power a thousand times greater than the power which develops the muscles of a person.
In the experiments carried out by Dr. Sahin and his colleagues in 2012 discovered a soil bacterium called Bacillus subtilis, which, when dry wrinkled, but does not die, but fall asleep. But when water gets on it almost immediately returns to its original shape. Dr. Shahin was applied to small flexible silicon plate solution, which contains spores of this bacterium. In the end, the bacteria, reacting to changes in humidity, began to bend and straighten the silicon plate.

After several experiments, Sahin eventually found that flexible plate covered with spores when humidity changes from 20 to 100 percent can generate up to thousands of times more energy than human muscles.
