Terraforming deserts will help humanity to survive

In many computer games and movies applied the concept of terraforming planets. It is a process that makes them habitable. But why go to other planets, if the Earth is a vast area almost barren desert. That is why the famous architect Stephane Malka has created a design project of a huge platform for greening the desert — the Green Machine. If the project is implemented, more than 35 million square kilometers of deserts on our planet will turn into green plains, suitable for life. For the implementation of this Green Machine in the first place needs to provide itself with electricity. Its nine towers of solar panels will produce approximately 450 kW. And hanging over machine balls can condense from the air enough water for the needs of the crew and for irrigation. In theory, the project is a huge self-propelled tank, creating oases in the desert.

With the problems of global warming, raising global sea level, and depletion of fertile layer of the planet the idea of switching to solar energy, extraction of water from the air and terraforming deserts looks not so crazy.
