The Helsinki zoo in Korkeasaari (Helsinki Zoo), Finland, has introduced three five-week cubs rare Asian lion. These cubs were born on March 27, but only now they held the first medical examination and made all the necessary vaccinations.

To explore the cubs staff had to lure a three year old lion in a neighbouring enclosure. The inspection showed that all the cubs are healthy and well nourished, which suggests that mother well cares for his offspring.





Since the birth of the cubs were together with their mother in a closed room and was not shown outside. However, the zoo could observe them with the help of special cameras installed in the shelter. According to the staff, the lioness and her offspring will be transferred to the outdoor enclosure in June.
