Blue tropical centipede
As if cast from blue plastic, the tropical centipede Pararhachistes potosinus impresses not only with its appearance, but also with its size.

Part of an extensive family of polydesmida, this giant grows to 100-120 mm in length and is one of the largest among its relatives.

The trunk of Pararhachistes potosinus consists of twenty segments, the bright blue color of which warns predators that their hostess is poisonous: an alarmed centipede emits a highly toxic liquid that can deliver a lot of problems to the offender.
Luis Stevens
The only place where you can meet these beauties is the moist highland forests of Mexico.
