Cuba heads the 67-th session of world health Assembly

The UN resolution Cuba will lead the 67 world health Assembly held in Geneva may 29-14.

The Cuban press was encouraged by the news and called this choice another achievement of the Cuban revolution. As you know, the Cuban doctors are working in 60 countries and enjoy a well-deserved reputation all over the world.

However, as it turned out, not all of this opinion.

The Geneva human rights organization UN Watch has strongly criticized this decision, which "allows you to win a propaganda victory to a dictatorship" and also "enables Cuba to continue to maintain the myth about the health care system, which is really falling apart."

The main accusation is that in Cuban hospitals is much more emphasis on the foreign medical tourists than in need of medical assistance to the indigenous population. According to the Executive Director of UN Watch Hillel Neuer, the best clinics of the country caters to rich tourists and ordinary Cuban hospitals are often no running water and no working toilets.
