Scientists find new evidence of intelligence in plants
Researchers taking part in the European project of the University of Florence have found new evidence of the existence of intelligence in plants. It turns out that they are able not only to fight pests, to extract the maximum benefit from nutrients, but also to communicate with each other in a language unknown to people.
One of the project participants Stefano Mancuso and his colleagues from the Laboratory of Neuroscience, analyzing the electrical activity of plants, found that they respond to changes in gravitational and electric fields, chemicals and many other stimuli. The main task of scientists is to decipher the signals that plants generate.
In other words, scientists will have to create a kind of alphabet of plants, in which each parameter (impression) will correspond to a certain impulse. Thus, by summarizing the data obtained from several plants, scientists can catalog these signals. The result of these studies will be unique technologies for environmental protection.
