Yoga in Varicoze.
Varicose veins are a chronic disease that causes significant discomfort in the patient. Treatment of this pathology, of course, should be engaged in specialists, but to alleviate the condition with varicose veins will help yoga. Varicose veins are pathological expansion of veins in various parts of the body, such as the lower extremities, rectum, seminal cord, esophagus, etc., accompanied by thinning of the venous walls and the formation of nodes - local protrusions of the vessel area (like aneurysm).
Most often, when it comes to varicose veins, we mean varicose veins of the lower extremities.
Signs of varicose veins of the legs include:
- dilated, twisted dark blue veins on the legs;
- pigmentation of the skin in the affected veins;
- pain and cramps in the muscles of the legs;
- formation of ulcers on the affected limbs.
The asana complex is selected individually, based on whether the patient’s muscle tone is initially increased or decreased.
The purpose of yoga with varicose veins is to involve flaccid muscles in the work and relax overstressed ones.
With a weak tone, stretching exercises usually do not cause difficulties, but give a worse effect than power exercises. With a strong, on the contrary, an even greater overstrain with strength exercises of the limbs affected by varicose veins is undesirable, while stretching asanas beneficially relax and soften the constrained muscles.
Yoga exercises with varicose butterfly posture (Baddha Conasana). One of the most effective asanas for varicose veins, well stretches the leg muscles. Sitting on the floor, pull the closed feet as close to the pelvis as possible. The knees should be separated to the sides and be as close to the floor as possible. Try not to bend your back, keep it straight. Performing the exercise, try to turn the feet up with the soles. Hero pose (Virasana). Standing on your knees, connect your hips and spread your feet to the width of your pelvis. Put your hands in the hamstrings and lower the pelvis on the floor between the shins. Straighten your back and do not tilt your head down. Keep the position for about 2-3 minutes. The frog posture (Bhekasana). Lie on your stomach, bend your legs and bring your heels closer to your buttocks. Put your hands around your feet. On exhale, tear the chest from the floor and try to bring the feet closer to the floor on the sides of the buttocks. Do not spread the knees wide, the inside of the feet should touch the hips. Try to raise the chest as high as possible from the floor. To achieve lasting improvement, yoga with varicose veins should become a regular occupation. The duration of training, the order of performing asanas and their duration should be selected together with an experienced instructor.
