Bamboo, which is one of the most sustainable building materials in the world, can grow to four feet in one day and combines strength and flexibility. This plant is available in abundance in equatorial states, so it is often used for construction. The tent from Andrew Ma combines bamboo with other organic materials. The only inorganic materials used in construction were plastic ropes that tied bamboo sticks.

The building was commissioned by the Green School in Bali, whose campus is also made entirely of local bamboo. The tent was used for graduation ceremonies and weekend conferences, to which Dr. Jane Goodall was invited as a guest of honor. During the construction, the main goal was to build a building that can accommodate 500 people, but at the same time does not harm the environment.
