Scientists are stumped by the disease, disfiguring of villagers in China
In one of the villages in southern China at least 20 people suffer from a strange disease that put scientists in a deadlock. The disease affects the joints and causes blisters. There is an assumption that we are talking about the Kashin-Bek disease caused by insufficient intake of selenium and iodine. How to treat this infection, doctors don't know yet. Researchers are currently studying the chemical composition of local food and water.
