The lot of the unfortunate – boredom and TV
British experts conducted a study, which involved 30 thousand people. In the experiment, all participants had to answer questions how they spend their free time, and to assess their mood and mental state.
It turned out that the people who considered themselves happy were more socially active, more talked, read and went to Church. At the same time, people who feel unhappy and dissatisfied with their lives, spent more time watching television.
As scientists have estimated, on average, poor people 28% watched more TV than happy.
Also, the study authors found that 51% of unhappy people have a lot of free time, which they don't know how to spend it. The happy people in contrast, free time was only 19% of respondents.
