Floating Autonomous eco house with a full energy supply by solar energy

One of the latest news in the field of "water construction" was the London architect Carl Turner. He designed a prefab Floating House, which he called "half house, half boat." It is noteworthy that the architect has laid out drawings of buildings in the open access, so if desired, everyone can create their own version of the floating home.

The unusual area of the house is 75 m2, which is comparable to housing on land. But unlike "land" of housing, a houseboat can function in two modes. The first mode is called Docked Dome and implies a long stay home at the dock, during which it can be connected to centralized communications. The second mode is fully Autonomous and is called a Self Sufficient Mode. In this mode, the house can completely exist independently from 6 to 12 months, until the next sunset in dock for maintenance.

The project provides for installation on the outside of the house two large translucent solar panels with a total area of 84 square meters. These solar panels can produce electricity sufficient to meet all the needs of the house. The roof also needs to be a tank collecting rainwater, which will provide a renewable source of water for most needs.

It should be noted that while the project exists only on paper.
