As we are preparing some children to College, and the other is in jail
In the United States there are two instances that accompany adolescents on their path into adulthood: College and prison.
Sociologist Alice Goffman spent six years living in the famous riots the Philadelphia area and directly watched as teenagers of African-American and Latino households find themselves in prison, often as a result of fairly innocuous violation.
