In the East there are 7 rules of purity:
1. "Clean hands". This means not taking more than. It also means the fortieth, tenth or other portion of income that should be given to those who need it.
2. "Clean ears". This means do not listen to people frightened, angry, fussy etc., as well as to protect your hearing from profanity, gossip and idle talk.
3. "Clean eye". This means to protect eyes from hatred, anger, envy and lust.
4. "Purity of mouth". This means to protect your mouth from unnecessary verbiage and profanity. "Silence is gold".
5. "Cleanliness of body and clothing". This means keeping body and clothes clean.
6. "Purity of thoughts". This means removing from the head of negative thoughts and evil thoughts. It also means not to show yourself compassion. Why feel sorry for yourself? Isn't it better to cheer myself up for bright beginnings?
7. "The purity of the soul and heart." This means to cherish and protect their emotional outbursts and not ignore them. Love and require nothing in return. Love is in itself happiness
