At Sotheby's in New York, USA, was exhibited a unique collection of 35 thousand. Vintage toys and trains assembled by an American collector Jerry Green (Jerry Greene) for 50 years. The collection is sold only under the condition that the buyer will take the collection as a whole.
Jerry Greene kept the collection in five basement rooms in his house in Philadelphia. According to him, now it's time to part with it, and share with the world. The collection, called Jerni Collection, considered the largest and most complete collection of toys in the world, and its cost in the tens of millions of dollars. It includes toys dating from 1850 to 1940, including rare, handmade and historically important European subjects. In particular, copies of railway stations and buildings destroyed during both world wars. Toys will not participate in the auction. J. Greene hoped that any public organization or individual will buy the entire collection and donate it to the museum.
