In 1991, old style hall of the old computer lab at Cambridge University before the coffee pot put the camera in order for staff to see if there is still coffee in the comfort of their offices. Black-and-white image of a coffeepot was broadcast on the user's desktop. It was the first in the history of a webcam.
Several years later, the historic "Trojan coffee" was sold on eBay for £ 3350 ($ 5268, 55).
