Human behavior affects clothes in which he dressed

Scientists claim that the same person can behave very differently depending on what is put on it.

"Wearing a business suit, we not only produce a certain impression on others, we also produce the impression of themselves," - says the author surveys. - "A man, dressed in a business suit, begins to adopt the qualities that are associated with business clothes.»

To investigate the effect of clothing per person, the researchers conducted an experiment in which volunteers were asked to wear a white coat. In this experiment, some participants thought that wearing a gown, and others - that gown belongs to the artist.

Those volunteers who were told that they gown, showed maximum attention. Adam Galinsky explains this by saying that doctors need to be careful.

In turn, those study participants who said that the gown belongs to the artist, were not as attentive, but showed their creativity.

The study's author says that the experiment has pushed his famous cartoon "The Simpsons." In one of the series "The Simpsons" is an episode in which a group of students dressed in gray uniforms, is very quiet. However, after a downpour, which made clothes colored school, children begin to behave very differently.

"I thought that the clothes we wear, has a tremendous impact on our behavior" - says Galinsky. - "Wearing a black T-shirt, you will become more aggressive, but if you wear a robe nurse, then most likely, you will become more merciful».

In connection with the findings, Adam Galinski urges to think twice before putting a particular garment. Think about what qualities can be useful to you today, and only then choose what you wear today.
