Physicists plan to build a perpetual motion machine (and it is not a joke!)

In February 2012, the Nobel Prize-winning physicist Frank Wilczek has decided to offer the public of the country and in his own words, somewhat ridiculous idea. Wilczek has developed a proof of the existence of so-called "crystal time" - physical structures, while moving constantly forming repeating patterns just as the minute hand moves in a circle. But unlike the hours or any other known man-made objects, the crystals do not move through time, stored energy, and due to interruptions in the symmetry of time, which allows a particular form of perpetual motion.

The idea Wilczek have met other physicists distrust. Professor Wilczek - authoritative figure in science, known for the development of strange theories like the existence of particles called axions and anions, as well as the detection of specific properties of the nuclear force, called asymptotic freedom, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in the year 2004. However, creating a perpetual motion machine it is considered to be impossible according to the fundamental laws of physics. But to date, technical progress allows you to test the theory in practice. Scientists plan to create a crystal of time in the hope that a perpetual motion machine will generate an infinite amount of energy, and that this will allow a better understanding of the nature of time.
