Recently, Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) conducted an interesting survey to find out what the Russians are proud of regarding the country. Asked about the pride of Russian science for nearly 60% of respondents said yes, 26% said they do not feel pride, and another 14% were undecided.

As it turned out, the science - not the first and not the only reason for pride. 85% of respondents said they are proud of the history of their country, 77% are proud of the success of Russian athletes. Culture and art are proud of 75%, the Russian army - 63% and 50% of respondents are proud of the position of Russia among other countries. For the quality of life in our country feel proud just 14% of respondents.
