One of the creators of the product Shonuold Josh believes that artificial beef could end the killing of these animals for human food and as a result, reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, save water and make food safer environmentally. While the new technology is commercially viable, but after a while it can become widely prevalent - after a series of clinical trials, of course.

To grow artificial beef in the lab, it takes about three months for this purpose, cells of living cows. According to the scientist Mark Post, the meat can be stored without damage at supermarkets for ten years.



Steaks are created in four stages. First, stem cells have the ability to transform into any other cell removed from bovine muscle by biopsy harmless. The cells were then incubated in a nutrient "soup" that their number has increased several times - creates a sticky cloth. Further, the adhesive fabric "stretch", and finally finished artificial meat is ground, mixed with salt, breadcrumbs, egg powder and natural red dye to form an edible cakes.

Researchers believe that soon will be able to create a product to taste and appearance, totally indistinguishable from the real meat.
