Each year, the city stops for a moment. Residents will never forget the lessons of history.

Every year on August 1 at 17.00 in Warsaw begin howling sirens and the city stops for a moment. People stop and interrupt what they are doing, stop their motion and machine. Thus the inhabitants of the city they honor the memory of those killed in the Warsaw Uprising during World War II. This is a very unusual sight.
