The Russian company "Northern Mines" has received permission from the North Korean government for gold production in the country.

According to Vostok Magazine, in addition to Russia, in establishing economic ties with North Korea is actively shown interest the Japanese government, however, under pressure from the US State Department, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was forced to curtail talks about his visit to Pyongyang.
