Bonsai in space

That is what I like the modern world, it's the fact that art is becoming more focused on the environment, world peace, unity and beauty. And projects in the minds of men are born what wonderful. This project has just struck the spot. One would think that such a thing. People only have time to take pictures of their animals in different parts of the world, such as those traveling on the planet.

But these beautiful plants in the background panorama of our planet look marvelous and solemn. Scale!

Japanese artist Makoto Azuma worked with bonsai trees in the past, but his new botanical art project exceeded even his own expectations. He launched into space dwarf pine and a bouquet of hydrangeas, lilies, irises, orchids and other flowers. His mission, he called Exobiotanica, a name that does not make sense to translate it to your language sounds beautiful. But its meaning is clear - "Extraterrestrial life." Plants go where no normal life, and where the plants destined to become ice cubes, and perhaps once come to life, maybe even on our planet.

In collaboration with JP Aerospace, the organization that oversees the sending of some orbital stations, a team led by Makoto provided false dioramas ligaments helium balloons, tracking devices, such as cameras, GoPro.

Objects were raised to the height of the orbit 26, 51 km. Empty vessels were delivered to the landing station, and the plants themselves have been impossible to find: petals and wood particles dispersed in the air.

There is something mystical and gently beautiful that plant petals drift over the planet. At a temperature of - 50 degrees Celsius, at an altitude of 30 km, naturally, they turn into clumps of ice, thereby maintaining itself for future generations and even life forms.

Artist beautiful and inspiring described his project in the marketing brochure, he put into his heart and soul mission statement, intending to run in the world the idea of eternal life, beauty and freedom.
