On the other side of the Moscow River, on Smolenskaya embankment seen the house of the architect Nikolai Ivanovich Gaygarova. From left to see the fence, behind which is the Church of the Great Ascension. The temple with a bell tower was built in 1799-1801 years. In 1812 we built a refectory and basement of the church. The building was completed in 1848, but the bell tower was never built. In late 2001, the bell tower decided to build, in connection with which a fence partially demolished.
