Louvre Abu Dhabi
The project of the Louvre in Abu Dhabi, the opening of which is planned for 2013, worked as a French architect Jean Nuval.
The future of the building is intended to be the first universal museum capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Covering an area of 24 000 sq. meter museum is located in the new district of the Island Saadiyat, the Cultural Center, the only one the world's largest concentration of major cultural institutions. Its design will combine the traditional art and modern architecture. But the main feature is the perforated dome about 180 meters in diameter, covering the majority of the space museum. A plurality of openings in its thickness will allow sunlight to penetrate the Museum from all sides. Halls, so be cool and light. The interiors of the pavilions, plazas, paths and channels look like under a transparent layer of sea water through which sunlight trickles from the top. Once an association with blond groves, also illuminated through the trees.
Stunningly beautiful and gives the general appearance of lightness.
