The Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi (13 photos)

New York-based architectural studio Asymptote has completed work on the hotel in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). This hotel Yas, which is designed as a two round towers connected by straight steel bridge with a glass canopy.





The building has recently opened to the public (after pre-opening during the Grand Prix, "Formula 1", which was held in Abu Dhabi in late October).



Yas is a hotel complex of 85 000 square meters, which includes 500 rooms. It is a matter of pride and ambition of architects investors who have invested here $ 36 billion of the profits from the "Formula 1".

Asymptote embodied Yas their architectural tastes, focusing on ancient Islamic traditions of folk art, as well as trying to pass in the form of speed and rushing. This was achieved due to the length (217 meters), the curved steel parts and 5,800 diamond-shaped glass panels that wrap around the axle.
