How to build a thermal power station

Last winter blogger victorprofessor visited the site under construction purposes. In general, the scale of construction frankly amazed - the main building of thermal power station is a huge city located in multiple tiers in a huge iron box.

I propose just to see photos and to pay special attention to the scale of construction.

Cogeneration (CHP) - is a thermal power plant, which produces not only electricity, but also a source of heat energy in centralized heat supply systems (heating, hot water).

1. Outside it looks like the most common building.

2. The new tube.

3. Beautiful pipe connection. Pipe diameter of 50 cm.

4. Welding.

5. The process of obtaining energy for multi-purposes, in order to increase the overall efficiency of the power plant. In the first stage gas turbines rotated generators that produce electricity.

6. Then, the exhaust gases from the gas turbine plant fall into the pot (see photo). The water in the boiler is heated in the steam drum of the boiler is obtained.

7. Next, steam enters the steam turbine on the same axis which is also a generator producing electricity.

8. The steam turbine.

9. At this stage there is a selection of steam to heat the water.

15. The gas turbine plant. From above, through the intake air enters from the street. Away - gas turbine, in the foreground - a generator. Further, the depth of the boiler is located.

16. On the cover of the boiler. View a nearby boiler.

17. The boiler drum, wherein the steam-water mixture is separated into vapor and water. Water is again in a standpipe, and saturated steam goes into the superheater.

18. Outside the drum is covered with insulation (for this purpose on the body of the drum is welded thick wire).
