New Life Twins
Seven years ago, Macy and Mackenzie Garrison born Siamese twins fused pelvis. They had shared the third leg and the inside. They also have another sister who was born normal. In September 2003, the twins successfully separated, and now they live an active life, go to the gym, ride horses, etc. Let's look at their journey to a normal life.

3. September 10, 2003 Mackenzie and Macy went on a 24-hour surgery at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, to be shared. Then it was only 9 months.
4. The surgeons had to pull them apart liver girls and a third leg to be amputated. They also had to restore the pelvis girls.
5. The sisters were alive and quite active during the recovery. This photo was taken just five days after surgery.
6. In the US, every 200 000th child born with a brother or sister Siamese twins, and more than 70% of them - girls.
7. The father of twins, Jeff Harrison said that Mackenzie was discharged after six weeks, and Macy took a month longer to recover
8. Mackenzie and Macy's were fitted with prostheses and physical therapists teach them to walk
9. Their mother Darla was very grateful to the doctors at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. "We work with a huge number of doctors ... I can not remember how much, - she says. - The way they worked to take care of us ... we really appreciate it. "
