After receipt of the request to the General Prosecutor's Office Roskomnadzor immediately directs operators to the requirement to restrict access to information resources or to accommodate it illegal information.
Once locked, the agency determines the hosting provider's site that contains illegal information, and send him a notification. The provider, in turn, must inform the owner of an information resource about the need to remove illegal content, then access to the resource will be resumed.
The document was heavily criticized by the Internet industry, whose representatives feared that as a result may suffer abiding sites. Thus, the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) stress "with an increase in the number of types of information to be blocked amount wrongfully locked resources will grow significantly."
