The first (temporary wooden) Mausoleum was opened January 27, 1924 near the Senate Tower of the Kremlin on Red Square. Structurally, the building is based on reinforced concrete frame with brick filling walls that are lined with polished stone - marble, labradorite, porphyry, granite. Mausoleum pyramid consists of five uneven ledges (in a wooden mausoleum there were six). On the first ledge in 1945 was arranged tribune.
