In the mid-1970s in the design bureau of machine building company in the Slovak town of Dubnica nad Váhom developed a new artillery system, put into service of the Czechoslovak Army under the designation 152 mm ShKH vz.77 (152 mm samohydna kanonova houfnice vz. 77 - 52MM 1 self-propelled gun-howitzer sample of 1977).
