Edmonton. National Parks are areas of wildlife under state protection. Parks Canada has just published the photos became known the world's largest dam beavers, which is so big that perfectly visible from space.

Hidden in a remote corner of the National Park Alfred Wood Buffalo, the dam stretches for 850 meters, it is more than 8 football fields put together. The representative of the Park Administration Mike Keyser said that employees learned about the dam 2 years ago and built a pier, as there is no other way to overlook this huge structure.

They found that the dam in the deep forests of pine forest Birch Mountains, halfway between the southern tip of Lac Clair and the southern boundary of the park (see. Map).

This is one of the most remote areas, which only can be found in this park. There were no roads, no navigable canal.

Now the dam can be viewed only by helicopter.

Keyser said that beavers probably used the natural dam of the old, fallen, burnt trees that during the flood brought down in a heap. He suspects that the beavers worked on it for a long time, as there is satellite imagery even 70s, which confirms its growth every year.
