Maha Shivaratri,
These days, Hindus celebrate a big event - "Maha Shivaratri" ("the great night of Shiva"). This is a celebration of devotion and worship of the god Shiva and his wife Parvati (Kali), which is celebrated by all orthodox Hindus on the night before the new moon in the spring month of Phalguna. Those who are awake during the "Maha Shivaratri," promised material prosperity and a place in paradise. Any meditation that night is considered to be 100 times stronger than normal, due to the position of the Sun and the Moon. But the special value "Maha Shivaratri" is for women and sadhus. The first had to ask Parvati to give them a successful marriage and beautiful children, and the second - smoke marijuana and drink drug cocktail milk-based marijuana and almonds called bhanga as Shiva protects ascetics.
Every three hours believers make a great full puja (worship). All sing bhajans and the mantra "Om Namah Shivaya" ring the bells to make the atmosphere more pious. In Shiva temples lit set of lamps and garlands in large churches are playing live bands.
