Museum of tales

Museum tales Junibacken in Stockholm. It will be interesting for everybody, both adults and children. Detailing and filling are made at the highest level. The museum modeled places from various children's works of Swedish writers, especially Astrid Lindgren and Tove Jansson, Elsa Beeskow and some other.





Date of foundation of the museum - in 1996. It was inaugurated members of the Swedish royal family. Since then, the museum receives more than 400,000 visitors a year, and quickly became the fifth most popular attraction in Stockholm.



There are daily performances and other entertainment activities for children.

The museum also has a restaurant and a bookstore where you can buy children's books in different languages.

Also one of the features of the museum is a fabulous train on which visitors can travel to scenes from the books of Astrid Lindgren.

Decorations made illustrations by the artist Marit Tёrnkvist working with Astrid Lindgren.

The name of the museum comes from the product Lindgren "Madiken and Pym of Junibacken" (Junibacken translated means "the June slide»).
