LJ user writes antoneo: Oberammergau - a small alpine village attracted us with its fabulous painted facades. Just a few narrow streets, but every house like a work of art. All murals are painted a very high quality, worked out shadows and contours. It seems as if the house really decorated columns, shutters and other decorative elements. Basically this traditional Bavarian ornaments, scenes from fairy tales or religious motives.
