The river at the bottom of the lake
On the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, there is a wonderful lake in the cave called cenotes Andzhelita (Cenote Angelita), which means little angel. So this lake in the cave surprising that on its bottom flowing another "river". Diver and photographer Anatoly Beloshchin went into the depths of the cave lake to deal with this fantastic phenomenon.
The last thing falling into the water 30 meters deep, the diver expects to find the river. But it is find those who are brave enough to dip into Cenote Andzhelitu. Actually quite eerie landscape with trees and fog sticking.
Again Beach
Cenote Andzhelita is about a ten minute drive from the ancient Mayan city of Tulum, on the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. This cave is filled with water in the old days was often used for Mayan sacrifices. For the diver descends into the cave with fresh water was a complete shock to find such a thing.
In fact, as it turns out it is nothing more than an ordinary chemical reaction. The fact that a thick layer of fresh water is sea 30m, salt water. And the fog, which you can watch the cloud of hydrogen sulfide released as a result of interaction of fresh and salt water.
Ignorant people can easily take it for photoshop, as if some joker just Framed flying divers on the photo of the park.
Anatoly Beloshchin said: "Beneath me I see the river, the hills and fallen leaves ... Actually, the river, you can see a layer of hydrogen sulfide.»
Map of the cave and the location of fresh water clouds of hydrogen sulfide and salt water, you can see in this diagram.
So in the end a couple more pictures from this amazing place
