Apparently, DDR4 modules will come sooner than expected. One manufacturer Crucial Memory posted on its website message
, that the memory of the new generation will be released before the end of 2013. Since this year there was only one month, DDR4 modules will be available no later than December.
It should be noted that DDR4 has significantly bólshey performance than the current memory DDR3.
In particular, due to improved process technology fourfold increase memory density per module, which allows for up to 16 GB of memory per module. Doubles the minimum clock speed: 2133 MHz instead of 1066 MHz. Furthermore, DDR4 requires 20% less power when operating voltage (1, 2 instead of 1, 5), so that the whole memory consumption decrease of about 20%.
Furthermore, DDR4 provides data transfer rates twice than DDR3. This means faster application loading, faster data loading and accelerated multi-tasking. Any electronics - not only PCs, but smartphones and tablets with - will work faster than it is now, it will increase the time on a single battery charge.
