Chelyabinsk meteorite
Photographer Marat Ahmetaleev filmed stunning footage of a meteorite in Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk Region. About two weeks ago, 31-year-old professional photographer came to his favorite place to shoot when he noticed how the sky pierced bright flash of light.
Photographer has not been able to figure out what's really going on. He says: My thoughts were confused. The first thing I thought - it's a nuclear bomb. Soon, even after all he remembered was that he had heard about the asteroid, which was to pass by Earth. Although Marat continued to doubt that the kind of bright light emitted from which it was hard to even look.
Ahmetaleev tells of a powerful explosion in a couple of minutes after the first visual meeting with the meteorite, which could hear the people of the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. Everything that is happening more like a fantastic footage from the film. Nevertheless, despite the shocking spectacle, Marat Ametaleevu managed to capture stunning fireball flash and a huge footprint on a celestial body weight of 10,000 tons.
Now his photographs will be on display at the exhibition in Chelyabinsk State Museum, entitled "Space Wanderer: eyewitness accounts." The exhibition runs until 31 May 2013.
