NASA will send into space an android named «R2»
We have previously written about the joint development of NASA and GM of a new generation of robotic androids «Robonaut 2» (R2). It looks like it's time to test the robot astronaut in. For this part of the next crew of the shuttle "Discovery" will android R2.
The shuttle launched to the ISS in September. The purpose of the flight robot to the station it will be field-tested. While scientists are planning to test it at the station, and only after successful tests it can be used in outer space.
