102-year-old abandoned ship floating forest
Ship «SS Ayrfield» is one of many decommissioned vessels in the Gulf of Homebush west Australian city of Sydney. The main difference from other "colleagues" is not rust body, and growing through the deck forest.
In an area called the "graveyard of ships", the ship looks unusual and stands out from the crowd. This 1,140-ton beast of the sea was built back in 1911, at the shipyards in the UK and was recorded in Sydney in 1912. During the Second World War, the ship is engaged in transportation of necessary materials, as well as the soldiers themselves armed forces of the United States. After the war, the ship was engaged in freight between the UK and Australia, until it was decommissioned in 1972.. The ship was lucky. In this bay set ships that subsequently dismantled. Growing forest made «SS Ayrfield» untouchable.
