How to properly sew jeans

You don't know, how to shorten jeans So to keep the factory scuffs down, and you don't want to go to the studio?

For this occasion, the editorial board "Site" prepared tips for a novice seamstress, which will greatly facilitate independent sewing and help shorten too-long jeans so as not to change their original appearance.

How to sew jeans
  1. First, you need to twist the leg so that there are no cracks on it and it reaches the middle of the heel. It should be noted that after washing, the denim fabric can shrink, so do not make them very short.

  2. Next, with the help of pins, we mark the bend line, measure the distance from the bend line to the end of the leg with a ruler. Then measure and mark another 1 cm from the top of the fold line.

  3. At the stitched edge of the leg, where the factory cooking ends, we also measure 1 cm per seam. Then we cut the bottom of the trouser on the outermost line.

  4. After folding the pants together and, fixing both sides on the belt, cut both pants together along the extreme marked line. 56151.

  5. Now you need to remove the factory thread from the postponed cut parts to prepare them for further work. The same detail should be ironed before sewing back to the leg.

  6. Then you need to take the ironed detail with the front side to the front side of the leg. It is important to apply the part with a cut to the cut line of the leg to get a neat result. After checking the stitches, you can start writing.

  7. Then you need to get rid of the thread that was spotted the part and remove the corners on the side seams of the sewn part. You should also cut the edge a little.

Then we slap the slack on the edges of the trousers and cut off the extra stitches and threads. Then we turn the edge of the trouser into the trouser trouser, and then we slap it on all sides again.

  8. It remains only to stretch the extreme bend of the trouser and repeat all the same actions with the second leg.

And that's what we get at the end.

Although the tailoring of jeans is quite painstaking, but the result is definitely worth it. You can, of course, just take the pants in the studio and not waste your time on such worries, but making the filing yourself, you can be sure of one hundred percent that the work is done well and without any errors. Isn't it?
