Prove what you think is as good as a slow fifth grader.

How to learn to count quickly in your mind And why is that even necessary? Answering the second part of the question is simple, because a modern person is faced with numbers at every step. In stores, we compare prices, calculate discounts and add bonuses, and also check whether we were given change at the checkout.

We weigh whether it is safe for everyone to climb into an elevator with a carrying capacity of 400 kg, estimate the time on the road and estimate how much you will have to pay this month for heating. It's all in my mind.

Being able to do without a calculator is a great advantage. And let everything you can count directly on your favorite smartphone, but using only your mind is perhaps more convenient. But how do you learn to do that?

In order for our brain to be able to quickly operate with numbers, it must be trained, you need to regularly shove such tasks to it. And today's edition. "Site" It offers some interesting examples that should be solved only in the mind. We hope you can do it without any problems.

  1. For the first problem, take 1000 and add 40. Then add another thousand, then add to the resulting number 30. Now add another 1,000. Plus 20 plus 1,000. And at the end, add another 10. Now tell me the number you got. You can check the answers in the second part of the article.

  2. As a second task, we offer a colorful problem with fruits. And it may seem simple, but to solve it in your mind, without even using a notebook and pen, can be quite problematic. Try to figure out which number is hidden under which figure to solve the final example.

  3. And finally, we offer a more complex task, the solution of which must also be found without any records (and without a calculator). Calculate which numbers are hidden under the images of penguins, octopuses and turtles to enter the correct answer instead of the question mark.

Tips and answers
  1. This task is not as simple as many may think. After all, people often get very different answers: 5100, 3100, and 4100. The reader is confused by the fact that one of the numbers is not written in numbers (thousands). If you do it right, you get 4100.

  2. If 2 bananas equal 30, then 1 banana equals 15. Hence it is easy to calculate in mind that two berries equal 10, and one berry equals 5. There's a 4 behind the apple. Then the final example is 15 + 5 + 4 = 24.
  3. We know there is a 6 behind the penguin. But in the last example, we have a penguin with not 6, but 8 dark dots, so we attribute the polar bird eight. In the third example, we find that the tortoise is 10. After the octopus in this case, there will be a deuce. The last example is 8 * 2 - 10 = 6. Although someone will find another solution.

Do not forget to write in the comments, whether you managed to deal with all the tasks. And also share your results, because it may well be that we made a mistake in the decision.
