How to make an effective trap for flies for pennies? The result is impressive!

Every year with the onset of warm days, I gather all my family and friends in the country or in the yard of the house. We celebrate the approach of summer and roast a delicious barbecue. In these pleasant moments, we often go into the house to grab something. After that, the corridor is full of insects.

Of course, you can always take a fly swatter and rid the room of annoying flies, running after each. But if you, like me, want to save your time and energy, then the best solution is fly-trap. This option is much more effective than a fly swatter, besides the trap can be made with your own hands!

Editorial "Site" I decided to introduce you to effective method of creating a trap for insects. We can finally rest in peace!

“In fact, you don’t have to spend money on additional materials, because you probably have everything you need at home. And when the trap is full, just throw it away! – recommends the author of this technology William Quinn.

You're gonna need insect traps.
  • 100g chicken fillet
  • 1 paper wipe
  • 1 plastic canister with pen
  • 1 plastic bottle
  • 200 ml of cold water
  • fresh droppings

Progress of work
  1. As bait, Mr. Quinn uses the corpse of a dead chicken. After all, chicken fat is a strong means of attracting flies. However, the author of this article disagrees with this barbaric method and suggests replacing chicken with 150-200 grams of old chicken meat.

  2. Put the meat in the can.

  3. For the basis of the trap, use a plastic container made of milk and an old plastic bottle. Make a side hole in the canister, insert the neck of a plastic bottle into it. That's how the flies get trapped. The smell of rotting chicken fat will attract them.

  4. Pour water into the canister so that it reaches a height of about 3 cm. After that, don’t forget to twist the top hole cover!

  5. For the second fly trap, use fresh litter instead of chicken fat.
  6. Always wash your hands after these procedures!

After a few days, chicken fat began to rot, and it became a great bait for flies.

The result of the experiment in the second version, which lasted 3 weeks, can be seen at 2:25 this video. Flies buzz near this trap.

Flies, trapped, die. As you can see, this is a rather effective method that will help you to spend your summer days in your yard.

A huge disadvantage of this method is the smell coming from the trap, so it should not be placed in a closed room!
