Garlic is the salvation for orchids! A month later, my Phalaenopsis released a few...

Even a schoolboy knows about the benefits of garlic for the human body. But not all owners of epiphytic orchids know that this bulbous plant can have a very positive effect on the growth of their green pets. In particular, garlic helps to stimulate lush phalaenopsis.

To achieve this effect, our editorial board advises favorite readers to prepare a special mixture of garlic pulp, water and succinic acid.

The last ingredient will help stimulate the rooting process of the plant, increase its resistance to pests and other adverse factors. If done correctly, a new flower plant should appear within 14 days.

One important point should be taken into account - succinic acid is diluted using hot water. Only after the liquid is completely cooled can garlic pulp be added. It is also important to understand that ordinary garlic water for watering orchids can be stored for quite a long time, but with the addition of succinic acid, you will have to use the infusion for the next three days.

How to care for an orchid in a pot You will need
  • 1 liter of water
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • glass-pan
  • 1 succinic acid tablet

Preparation
  1. Dissolve the succinic acid tablet in hot water.

  2. Grind the garlic with a knife or a garlic press. When the liquid cools, add the garlic pulp.

  3. Place the liquid in a glass jar and then leave it to infuse for 24 hours.

Before you start watering orchids, garlic water must be strained with a strainer. Then you should dilute the resulting liquid in a bucket of settled water and water the plants by partial immersion. This method should be alternated with conventional watering, but not more often than 1 time a month.
