Tropical handsome Spatiphyllum just likes to take a warm shower, immediately stops turning yellow
“Why does the spatiphyllum turn yellow?” – many growers ask this question. The causes of diseases of female happiness, as the flower is called in the people, can be different, and we will tell you how to avoid this scourge.
Why does the spatiphyllum turn yellow? A native of shady rainforests, Spatiphyllum loves heat, high humidity and diffuse sunlight. Violation of any of these conditions, improper care, insect pests - all this leads to yellowing of the leaves, depletion of the plant, and sometimes to death.

Water the plant should be settled or filtered with warm water as the soil dries, it is desirable to spray it in hot weather or with dry air (heating included). The soil for the spatiphyllum should resemble a forest litter of equal parts of leaf and manure humus, peat, charcoal and large river sand.
Like a cranky old lady in a minibus who demands to close the window in the heat, “women’s happiness” does not tolerate drafts and does not like direct sunlight. In addition to constant watering, spatiphyllum requires constant feeding. From spring to autumn, the plant is fed once a week with universal fertilizer. The rest of the time - once every 2-3 weeks.

Baths for tropical beauties Spatiphillum, anthurium and other inhabitants of the tropics just love to take a warm shower. Especially in the hot season. And even if their leaves have lost their natural gloss, bathing can bring them back to life. Water procedures work wonders: open all the pores on the leaves, wash away dust and dirt from them, remove ticks and shields.
And to combine the pleasant with the useful, we will prepare a special solution for bathing from fertilizer "Humat + 7 iodine". Pour a little powder into the glass (literally cover the bottom). Fill the glass a third with water, stir. Add the mixture from a glass to a liter bottle to get the color of a strong tea. Pour the bottle into the basin and dilute 1:1 with hot tap water.
The solution should have a temperature of 30-35 degrees. Put it in the spray gun and wet the leaves abundantly. It is more convenient to bathe the spatiphyllum in the bath, the soil must be covered with polyethylene before it gets water. After a shower, it is advisable to close the door to the bathroom and that the plants stand in this pair while they dry. But protect delicate flowers from hot water.
If the plant reacted to the procedure normally, in the future the temperature can be increased to 40 degrees. Swimming can be done once a month. If you don't have a spatiphyllum at home, you should get one. It is not for nothing that it is included in the list of the best plants for the house!
