The most powerful battery for electric cars will be created Faraday Future together with LG Chem

A startup from Silicon valley Faraday Future, which is the property of Chinese group of companies, LeEco, signed a cooperation agreement with the chemical division of the South Korean electronics manufacturer LG Chem. One of the main tasks of the new Union, according to the partners, will be to develop the most energy intensive in the world of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.

We are talking about the creation of a specially adapted lithium-ion batteries. LG Chem is one of the world's largest manufacturers of disk drives of this type. Batteries LG Chem already use other well-known automakers, particularly General Motors (Chevrolet Bolt electric cars), Tesla and Audi.

Faraday Future and LG Chem will develop a special chemical basis for batteries that will be used in a modular platform Variable Platform Architecture (VPA). This chassis will form the basis of future mass-produced cars, the Chinese-American automaker. The architecture allows to use different number of power units, and create as monoprivodnom and all-wheel drive models.

The debut project of the company Faraday Future has become a prototype supercar FFZERO1 presented in early 2016. Concept has four electric motors with total capacity of 1,000 horsepower. FFZERO1 can accelerate to "hundreds" in less than three seconds and its top speed exceeds 320 kilometers per hour.

Earlier it was reported that a conglomerate of LeEco planning to invest in the construction of the serial Faraday electric sports car of the Future more than one billion euros. In addition, the company intends to develop electric SUV.

Note that the market for electric cars, according to experts, future is bright. According to statistics, the first half of 2016 in Europe sold more than 91 thousand "green" cars. The growth compared to the same period of the previous year was 21%. published
