The Museum of Microminiatures
The Museum is located on the territory of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. It is a collection of a plurality of micro-miniatures. The author of this project, is a world-renowned master Mykola Syadristy. He makes his works by hand, by special technology, for more than forty years.
Microminiature presented in the Museum's collection, expanding established notions about the boundaries of human capabilities. Hands syadristy has created the world's smallest operating electric motor 1/20 mm3 in size, this device is less creepy and almost 20 times smaller than a poppy seed.
The most famous among them: the world's smallest violin, a portrait of Yuri Gagarin carved from a thorn bone, shod flea, a caravan of camels in the eye of a needle, the smallest inscription made by the hand of man — the autograph at the end of the hair and balalaika in a poppy Dewdrop.
Among other Microminiatures, exposed in Museum of miniature in Kievo-Pecherskiy reserve, practically each is unique and different. For example, the rose in the hair. Inside the shaft along its length a cavity drilled and polished to transparency. Then, inside the inserted sprig of rose, толщиной0,05 mm. On glass petal chrysanthemum of the size 2x5 mm is engraved fragment Polonaise Oginsky.
When the Creator of the exhibits of the Museum have asked what knowledge and skills you need to possess in order to perform such work hyperfine, Mykola Syadristy says: "we Need to have some knowledge and experience in drawing, composition and plastics. You need to thoroughly know the properties of all the materials that we work with, as well as a good command of your body in between heart beats to make the most subtle movements of the hand that holds the tool."
Mykola Syadristy is recognized as the best miniaturist in the world.
